Terms of Service

Last updated: 3 October 2026 · Version 1.1 · RoboTastic Limited, Hong Kong SAR

These terms are the agreement between you and RoboTastic Limited, a company incorporated in Hong Kong SAR (business registration no. 75229437), 20/F Wellable Commercial Building, 513 Hennessy Road, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong ("RoboTastic", "we"), for the use of ShipTastic, the website shiptastictracking.com and the ShipTastic app ("the service"). They include the sections on renewal, cancellation and refunds, acceptable use and the service disclaimer below. Our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy explain how we handle data. Questions: connect@robotasticlimited.com.

1. The service

ShipTastic is a self-service ocean shipment tracking platform: live vessel position, predictive ETAs, milestones and alerts. It is an informational tool; tracking data originates from carriers, terminals and third-party data providers, and we present it as received.

For paid plans we commit to a monthly uptime of 99.9% and a first reply to support requests within 24 hours, as set out in our Service Level Commitment, which forms part of these terms.

2. Accounts, eligibility and business use

ShipTastic is for business use only. By creating an account you confirm you are acting for a business and not as a consumer. You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract. If you accept these terms for a company or other organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to bind it.

You must provide accurate details, including your company name and country, and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be authorised to track the shipments you enter.

You accept these terms by ticking the acceptance box when you create your account. We record the version of the terms you accepted, the date and time, and the IP address used, so that both of us can show which terms apply.

3. Plans, credits and billing

4. Automatic renewal and cancellation

5. Refunds

Refunds are not self-service. We do not refund part-months, unused credits or a plan you no longer need, and cancelling does not create a refund. A refund is only considered where a ShipTastic technical issue charged you wrongly, for example credits deducted for a container that could not be tracked, or a billing mistake such as a duplicate charge. To request one, email connect@robotasticlimited.com from your account email with the date and amount; our customer-service team reviews each request case by case and tells you the outcome. If we refund a payment, the credits bought with it are removed (Section 3).

6. Acceptable use

Use the service lawfully, securely and fairly. In particular:

Suspected misuse can be reported to connect@robotasticlimited.com. Breaches are handled under Section 11.

7. Your data

You own the shipment data you enter. We process it to provide the service as described in the Privacy Policy, which also sets out the processing terms for business customers. Tracking providers receive identifiers only (container, B/L or booking numbers), never party names, contacts or cargo values.

Tracking data licence. Vessel positions, milestones, schedules, terminal and customs events and ETAs shown in the service ("tracking data") are licensed to us by carriers, terminals, the AIS network and third-party data providers. We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use tracking data within your own business for the shipments you track, for as long as your subscription runs. You may not resell, redistribute, publish or make tracking data available to third parties, extract it in bulk, or use it to build or feed a competing tracking product or data service, and you must not use it in breach of the laws of the country it originates from, including data-security laws of the People's Republic of China. Where a data provider requires it, we may withdraw specific data, carriers or ports from the service; Section 11 applies if that leaves a plan unusable.

8. Service disclaimer

The service is provided on an "as available" basis. It explains the limits of what ShipTastic shows and says, on the website, in the app and in everything we send you from them.

You are responsible for the operational decisions you make, and you should not rely on the service as the sole basis for a time-critical or high-value decision. Nothing in this section limits the liability that cannot be limited under Section 9.

9. Limitation of liability

Our total liability for all claims is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, demurrage, detention, storage charges, missed sailings, or decisions made on ETAs or Ask AI answers. Nothing limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. The same limits apply to claims against our staff, contractors and agents.

10. Time limit for claims

Claims must be brought within 12 months after the event giving rise to them, unless the law requires a longer period.

11. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service and cancel at any time (Section 4). We may suspend or close an account immediately for serious breach, including security risks, unlawful use, non-payment, scraping or a breach of the tracking data licence in Section 7. For other breaches we will give you 14 days' notice to fix the problem before closing the account. When an account is closed, Section 4 (end of subscription) and the Privacy Policy's retention section apply.

If we have to end a plan. If a data provider ends or restricts its service to us and we cannot replace it, or if we withdraw the service in a country, we may end the affected paid plan on 30 days' notice by email and refund the prepaid fee for the period after the end date. This is the only case in which we end a plan without a breach on your side.

12. Sanctions and export control

You may not use the service if you are, or act on behalf of, a person or entity that is the subject of sanctions administered by Hong Kong SAR, the United Nations, the United States (including OFAC), the European Union or the United Kingdom, or if you are located in a territory subject to comprehensive sanctions. You will not use the service in breach of applicable sanctions or export-control laws, and we may suspend or refuse service where we reasonably believe this section is not met.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong SAR. Any dispute will be finally resolved by arbitration administered by the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre under its Administered Arbitration Rules, seated in Hong Kong, before one arbitrator, in English. Either party may apply to any competent court for urgent relief or to recover unpaid fees.

14. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be posted here with a new date and version and, where required, notified to you. Continued use of the service after the change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.

15. Language

These terms are written in English. Translations are provided for convenience only; if a translation differs from the English text, the English text prevails.
